You do not have to become a member to come to our meetings or enroll in our educational programs. But we encourage you to join! As a member, you will enjoy the benefits of discounts on our events and educational programs. If you are just entering the legal work force, we offer scholarships. You will also receive our monthly newsletter, The Hearsay, with information about jobs, changes in court rules, events and opportunities throughout our member organizations.

There are two categories of membership:

Full member: You are eligible for full membership if you: (1) have at least one year legal experience, including temporary or freelance work, in a law firm, trust department of a bank, or any public or private institution; and (2) have attended at least one SFLPA function.

Full members automatically become members of Legal Secretaries, Incorporated and get a free subscription to The Legal Secretary, LSI’s quarterly publication.

Associate member: You are eligible to be an associate member if you are a student, a vendor, or have been employed in the legal field for less than one year.

Membership dues are only $45 for a full year, plus a one-time initiation fee for new members, for a total of $55, a price that cannot be beat for the Bay Area’s oldest and most established legal professionals organization.
