General Membership Meetings
You are welcome at our meetings and events. We hope you will come and learn firsthand about the benefits of being a part of San Francisco Legal Professionals Association. Maybe you are a student, wondering what you will do when you get out of school and if legal work is the right career path for you. Maybe you are just entering in the legal field and learning how to navigate. Maybe you are a seasoned legal professional with years of experience and a bunch of great stories. Or you may be somewhere in between.
We host meetings and events so that everyone can get together and share their unique perspectives.
Our General Membership meetings are held the third Tuesday evening quarterly in January, March, October and July. We get together around 5:30 p.m. for networking and dinner, followed by a guest speaker and we finish with our agenda of business.
Our board meetings take place the first Tuesday evening monthly at the offices of:

This event is free and open for anyone who wants to attend. Registration is requested.
If you would like to participate and/or attend an upcoming meeting, please register for the meeting and let us know If you have an item you would like the board members to discuss.
SFLPA holds numerous fundraising events including but not limited to Crab Feeds, Silent Auctions, Bingo Night, the annual Aids Walk and participates in local charitable events.
The Interclub Chair encourages the exchange of ideas for the advancement of SFLPA in the community, visit neighboring Legal Professionals Associations, and represent this Association at meetings of other organizations whose ideals and purposes are compatible with those of this Association. The Interclub Chair relays events held by other neighboring Associations to members of the SFLPA so that they can participate in these activities. In turn, the Interclub Chair also informs neighboring Associations of SFLPA’s fun and informative events.
Legal Professionals Training Course
SFLPA in conjunction with the San Francisco State University/College of Extended Learning’s Paralegal Programs are excited to present a three (3) day Legal Professional Training Course/Workshop. The Course is designed to provide training in many areas of law and is suitable for all levels of experience. It consists of three (3) Saturday sessions occurring in January and February from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. per session.
SFLPA, a local association of Legal Professionals Incorporated, an approved provider, certifies that this Course has been approved for Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit by the State Bar of California in the amount of 10 hours of MCLE credit.
Satisfactory completion of this Training Course provides participants many benefits including the following:
- Increasing one’s self-confidence.
- Gaining knowledge in various areas of law.
- Gaining recognition as a professional in the legal field.
- Increase your marketability to prospective employers.

SFLPA holds many other events including holiday parties and happy hour get-togethers.
Legal Professionals, Incorporated offers quarterly Conference workshops at various locations throughout the Bay Area and Southern California. The Bay Area Legal Forum Workshops, a certified MCLE provider since 1994, offers an Annual Changes in the Law workshop each January in Pleasanton, California.
